Tribal Wars Stats

Hey all,

Some of you may have noticed that we were down for most of yesterday afternoon and evening. This was so we could do a complete reimage of the server that hosts the website and some of the databases.

The work was successfully completed and after a few small hitches the site was fully restored. However we still do not feel that things are running fast enough so we are trying to move to a bigger dedicated server as soon as possible.

There will be two immediate side effects though: Firstly, each world currently stores around 10 million rows of data just for recording old tribe and player data for the graphs. We are going to be changing the way this works internally to improve speeds etc, but unfortunately to do this we need to wipe all the existing data. We are ONLY deleting old player points and tribe points data, nothing else. This means that throughout today player graphs and tribe graphs will be empty, but in 4 weeks they will be back to normal as we will be recording data again from tonight.

Also, previously the world data was being updated every hour. It is likely that this will now happen every 2 or 3 hours, which is still much better than at least one other stats site that only refreshes their data ever 24 hours.
